# Catalogues and shops

When there are many products: filters, cards, a cart and payment on the site. Pricier than a landing page, still reasonable.

You need a catalogue once there are more than twenty items and people have to filter them. You need a shop once you are ready to take payment on the site rather than negotiating every order in a messenger.

The price difference between them is the cart, the checkout, payment handling and order statuses. If sales still come through phone calls, start with a catalogue and an enquiry button: it is half the price, and the cart can be added later when it actually earns its keep.

**Who it suits.** Retailers and wholesalers ready to sell online rather than merely display a range.

## Common questions

How do I load three hundred products?

From Excel. You send a spreadsheet with names, prices, descriptions and image links, and we configure the import. After that you can update prices with the same file.

Which payment methods do you connect?

Cards and instant bank transfer through a standard payment provider. Connecting it is included in the price of a shop; adding payments to an existing site costs $30.

Do you sync with inventory systems?

We do, but it is separate work quoted per task, because everybody’s exchange format differs. We name a price once we have seen what needs to be exported and how often.
